I’d done a few shots for that TV movie at Lexhag, London, as a Junior Compositor.
The three leads from Whitechapel I and II are set to return in 2012 in another outing.
Following the massive success of the first two runs, Whitechapel will return in 2012 with a new six-part series.
The intrepid team tracked down a blood-thirsty Jack the Ripper copycat in series one and faced off against the gangster brutality of a new generation of Krays in series two. But now they are now faced with a whole new set of challenges…
The new series will find DI Chandler (Rupert Penry-Jones), DS Miles (Phil Davis) and Edward Buchan (Steve Pemberton) spreading their investigations beyond the boundaries of Whitechapel, as they peel back the layers of some of the East End’s most gruesome history.
The East End will once again provide fertile ground for murder, body-snatching, poisoning and grisly discoveries, as the team’s present day investigations echo three hundred years of crimes committed in the city’s darkest recesses.
An honor to work on this movie
seems better than the first one (what I must say …), spectacular CG, epic Greek mythology (Kratos. Makhai, Cerberus, Chimera…) and adrenaline faster than ever.
A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus-the demigod son of Zeus-is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus’ godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramírez), switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans’ strength grows stronger as Zeus’ remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon’s demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.

After being given the chance to start my career on the film industry at MPC, one of the most outstanding VFX post-productions houses over the world, I decided to open this post and introduce my fresh experience on VFX world.
With offices all over the globe, the Moving Picture Company (MPC) is one of the world’s leading visual effects (VFX) studios, creating high-end VFX for the advertising and feature film industries.
MPC have been one the most successful post production companies in the UK for over 25 years.
With more than 500 employers, MPC has been working on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2 (David Yates), X-Men: First Class (Matthew Vaughn), Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (Rob Marshall), Batman Begins (Christopher Nolan), Sweeney Todd / Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Tim Burton) and Sucker Punch (Zack Snyder). Other notable work includes Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (Michael Apted); Clash of the Titans (Louis Leterrier); Prince of Persia (Mike Newell); Robin Hood (Ridley Scott) and The Wolfman (Joe Johnston).
Although the VFX houses don’t usually hire someone as a compositor with no previous experience on feature films, I got offered a DN Compositor position. A “Compositing for Production” course at Escapes Studios gave me proper skills and techniques to fit the role as a roto/prep artist at Lexhag, working on “The Fades”, “White Chapel 3″ , “Drood” and “Bert and Dickie” for TV and this knowledge contributed to switch from TV to film industry straight away as a DN Compositor. , supplying elements to Stereoscopic artists.
As a DN Compositor I was splitting all disparate elements (live action footage, CG, stock elements etc.) to Stereoscopic Artists and convert them on stereo 3D for Clash of the Titans 2.

MPC London has been named post house of the year at the inaugural Shots Awards.
Celebrating and rewarding the cream of the crop, the Shots Awards are judged by a group of international judges, from different areas of the business. This is a truly exciting award as it allows industry experts to consider all the VFX work being produced globally – in other words, our Clients made the choice. MPC London was up against some mighty contestants, including MPC Los Angeles, who was also shortlisted for the award.
“The visual effects studio came out on top of a healthy list of competitors to pip the prize –including its sister house in Los Angeles. With a well-measured balance of creative and technical skills at the company, as well as an honest and upfront approach with clients, its dynamic bunch of employees as a whole have contributed to the continued flow of excellent work that has come through the shots letterboxes. We’re happy to announce MPC London as a well-deserved victor in the Post category,” (Shots Awards 2011).
This has been the most awarded year at MPC ever, with our VFX work receiving 27 awards this year. Cannes Lions, Visual Effects Society Awards, Eurobest Awards, APA diamonds, Creative Circle Awards, London International Awards, Ciclope International Craft Awards, AEAF and the list is still growing. MPC has received more awards this year than any other VFX house in the world – and that is a reason to celebrate!

We’ve done a few shots for that TV show at Lexhag, London. Written by Ronan Bennett (Public Enemies) comes new to our TV screens a four-part drama Top Boy. Thrilling, raw and honest, Top Boy depicts the gripping, challenging lives of kids immersed in London’s gang culture.

The Fades was a British supernatural drama television series broadcast on BBC Three and BBC HD. The first of six episodes aired on 21 September 2011.
The programme centres on an English teenager named Paul who is haunted by apocalyptic dreams that nobody can explain and is able to see spirits of the dead, known as the Fades, all round him. The Fades cannot be seen, smelt, heard or touched by other humans – they are what is left of humans who have died but not been accepted into Heaven.
That’s shortly is what this TV Drama was about and it gave me the chance to work on my first job on VFX industry, at Lexhag/The Look, as a Roto / Prep Artist. I expected to be doing mainly/only roto but there was so much compositing to do and finally I ended up finishing some shots. It really encouraged me and pull my self-esteem up to be more comfortable on Nuke and learn some new techniques involved on tracking, colour correction and compositing.
My name on the credits !! Rocks !!
